El Mejor Spanglish


Unos 20 años atrás recibimos en un newsgroup de internet  (soc.culture.colombia) el mensaje que anexo. Siempre lo he conservado como la prueba del mejor Spanglish y de una reflexión  profunda sobre algunas cosas que nos definen como sociedad y cultura. No conozco a quien lo envió pero ahí está el crédito. Y además  sorprende que hayamos realmente cambiado tan poco en casi 20 años.

Ojalá el autor (a quien no conozco), no se enoje si se llega a dar cuenta del paradero de su mensaje.

On the metaphisical condition.
(Recomended only for metaphisical colombian people)

Recently, very importants cientists of de World, discovered that the central (better said, de biggest) problem of the Colombian people is absolutely metaphisical. Ni more ni less that metaphisical. Yes, because the Colombians are a brave and berracal people that fight during centurys, giving plomo ones to the others and their country is each day empiorating and empiorating and they make laws and laws because they creyate that with laws the situation will be superated.

There are any colombians that live of to rob the other people: There are many politicals that live of to rob the money of the state, that really is the money of the contribuyents; there are too the comun bandits that rob the people in the street, in the house, in the busetas, in the football, in everywhere. There are too the guerrillians, that want to tomate the power and to transform the country. They say that is to make a best country and to acabe with the pobrese. But if they continuated sequestranding, killing, extorsionanding, etc., when they will tomate the power (very improbably) maybe dont't will exists more country. They will conseguirate to acabe with the probrese, the richese, with the merdias class ... with everything.

In the other hand, there are too the tracketians, that are only interested in their bussines and are absolutely disposed to kill, to buy, to suborn, etc., functionarys, policemans, soldats, judges, presidents, etc, only for to export "la merca" and to be richs and drink guisqui, with mariachis, etc.

There are too the militars that any times are corrupted, or any times torture or disappeare the people to conseguite information to maintain the order and the state of rigth (?). There are too the cruels and sanguinarian paramilitars, the esmeraldan boys, the burundaguers and other yerbs (very dangerous too) and the people is impeled to be careful and desconfiated.

There are (very little) politicals, and militars, and guerrillians, and functionarys etc., that try to be honests but it is not very common and the reality is that one golondrine don't make verane. Most people want to be equal because the equallity is very good for everybody, but the problem is that everybody wants to be more equal that the others. Then they try to be "vive" and to profit the situation for to fuck the others (any times, litteraly). In the semaforo, in the bussines, in the cola of the theater, in the taxi in the imposts too because nobody wants to pay the imposts, because this only serves for that the politicals make tumbates and rob the money. In all ativities, the "vive people" want to tumb the others, to get a suborn, to be the first, or to get anything with palanca, etc. It's really very difficult.

But the problem is not economical, is not political, militar, social, sexual, sicological, etc., the problem is metaphisical, how I said at the begining. The colombian wants to be radical, or vive, or matonian, or corrupted, or extremely individualist and is very difficult to arreglate the country. The colombian don't assume that he's how the others and that he's obligate to respect the rigth of the other people for to be respected him too, by them. He's very terk and don't wants to assume his own condition of normal person that have the same rigths that the others. He's metaphysically wrong, very wrong.

I'm preocupated that they think that the solution is metaphysical too. No, is not speaking shit for hours and hours (like the intelectuals or the borraching people) that the situation will be resolved. The comiencing of the solution (only the comiencing) is metaphisical (to accept and assume the real condition), the rest is a material behavior consistent in to make the things honestly, decently and pacifically. In the comiencing is a little difficult but after is very good for everybody. The colombian must to reflect, to think about this and to change.

Colombian ... Please, don't be rober, asesiner, sequestrater, corrupted, torturater, racist, classist, sexist, matonian, individualist,etc., don't be vive or only speaker of shit about the political situation, etc. Do anything. Please, do anything to respect the others, for accept yourself and your human condition and (principally) permit the others to have a respectable life how you want for you. If is possible, distribute your advantages or permit the others to get the posibility of to have the sames.

And, please, don't be emberraqueted with me, I only want to contribute to discuss on our metaphisical problem and suggest solutions. How I said before, It's only the comiencing!

Las campanas de El Jardin, Antioquia

En GoogleEarth aparece como una mancha de color sobre un tapete verde mas bien informe y casi feo. De un verde poco natural. Si uno viera esa imagen quizá preferiría coger para otra parte, abandonar del todo la idea de ir por allá. Sin embargo, a medida que se avanza por una carretera que le muestra todo lo cambiante y diverso este país, va cayendo uno en cuenta de que el viaje, si no por el destino, al menos por el trayecto, vale la pena; como en el poema de Cavafis. En el camino, se pasa por el lado de Amagá para descubrir, al otro lado de un cañón que debe tener un nombre bonito pero que la verdad es que ignoro, el Cerro Tulsa, como esculpido a mano. Luego, al llegar a la rivera del Rio Cauca y pasar al otro lado, a la Cordillera Central, puede uno por un largo trecho palpar el fluir de tantos ríos y quebradas que uno corre el peligro de pensar que es inacabable, que tendremos agua para siempre. Al final, luego de dejar pasar por un ladito de Andes empieza un ascenso en verde.
